Construction Quality Control Engineers
Location: Afghanistan
Are you a separated or retired non-commissioned Seabee or military construction specialist looking for an overseas assignment with excellent pay? We are seeking nine engineers who can commit to at least a one year assignment. Deployment will be in 12-week cycles — 12 weeks deployed to forward operating bases followed by 4 weeks off. There will be one company paid home leave during the assignment.
In this position you will be part of a team gathering critical information to facilitate the safe and secure execution of reconstruction missions. Your team will be conducting site visits to assess the threat and local atmospherics prior to start of projects and during construction, and you will establish relationships of trust with the local tribal leaders, sheiks, or Provincial Governors to verify ground truth.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
• Identify civil affairs projects to enhance construction projects
• Prepare Preliminaries and Executive Summaries for all site visits
• Provide Site Information reports and give input to Project Engineer
• Complete Construction Progress, Quality Assurance and Safety reports for all site visits.
Knowledge and Abilities:
• BS / BA degree preferred or a minimum five (5) years military (non residential) experience
• Experience and familiarity with terminology, methods and materials of various types of non-residential construction concepts, practices and procedures
• Ability to clearly communicate verbally and in writing with customers and staff Architects/engineers, subcontractors and vendors
• Active DOD or NATO Secret Security Clearance required.
